Prior to writing for a major agricultural title for eight years, Jonathan was an auctioneer in the West Country where alongside his passion for sheep farming, he developed a love and deep knowledge of all things livestock.

Jonathan is account manager for most of mooandbaa’s PR clients including the Texel Sheep Society, Newark Livestock Market, NBA’s Beef Expo and the British Wool Marketing Board. With his vast knowledge of sheep farming, he also manages our pedigree sheep clients. Jonathan has won various journalism awards such as YARA Livestock Journalist of the Year and runner up in the NOAH Animal Health Journalist of the Year.

Jonathan is also editor of the quarterly publication Sheep and Beef Producer and has also been called upon to commentate on various livestock issues for both regional and national press and television.

Married to co-director Chrissie and father to Sophie, Jonathan is also a keen sheep farmer running small flocks of pedigree Southdown and Hampshire Down sheep alongside a commercial flock.

Things that make Jonathan smile: A good rugby match, a nice drop of Rioja and lambs skipping in the sunshine.

Mooandbaa works with some of the best site designers, graphic designers and photographers in the business to ensure whatever project we take on for our clients is done to the highest possible standard.
lyndsey-picLyndsey is the star designer behind most our site designs, adverts and brand promotion for key clients such as Newark Livestock Market and all our pedigree breeders. Based in Ireland, she is a pedigree Simmental breeder, so understands the subject matter and knows firsthand how best to showcase a client’s herd or flock. She’s constantly coming up with new designs, colour schemes and themes to ensure each client has a bespoke site designed to their individual needs.

Richard joined the team in 2013 as our chosen photographer on all dairy projects. Since then he has become our leading photographer for Farming Eye and is growing his portfolio with mooandbaa by working on many beef and sheep projects.Having grown up on a Cumbrian farm, Richard knows how to best photograph stock in either natural pose on farm or at an event. He has a creative eye and often captures a shot not everyone gets the chance to see on a working farm or busy show day. You can view Richard’s work at
